eikon/image-base-url

Base URL the per-OS Eikon image profiles resolve their image against

Redirects every eikon-<os>-image profile at a mirror instead of the upstream distro cloud images. Intended for airgapped or bandwidth-constrained sites.

When empty (the default) each eikon-<os>-image profile uses its own upstream distro URL. When set, each resolves to <base>/<canonical-name>:

Pipeline File expected under the base URL
eikon-ubuntu-24.04 ubuntu-24.04.qcow2
eikon-rocky-9 rocky-9.qcow2
eikon-alma-10 alma-10.qcow2
eikon-debian-12 debian-12.qcow2

The canonical names are deliberately short and uniform so a mirror is easy to populate - they do not match the upstream filenames.

Set it once for the whole endpoint, for example on the global profile:

Bash
drpcli profiles set global param eikon/image-base-url \
  to '"{{.ProvisionerURL}}/files/images/eikon"'

Then upload the four images under the names above:

Bash
drpcli files upload rocky-9.qcow2 as images/eikon/rocky-9.qcow2

No trailing slash. The value is template-expanded, so {{.ProvisionerURL}} works.

Note

This is the intended override for the shipped per-OS Pipelines. They bind a profile that sets eikon/image-url explicitly, so that param's own image-deploy/image-url fallback does not apply to them - set this instead. A single machine can still be pointed elsewhere by setting eikon/image-url on the machine or on a profile attached to it; both take precedence over the Pipeline's bound profile, whereas global does not.
