workflow¶

The default workflow to set on the discovered machine.

When this parameter is set to the OOB machine will get created with this workflow set. If this value if not set, the machine will get created with whatever the default workflow is.

Passing it as null to a scan-range action clears the endpoint's default for that scan, so the machines it creates get no workflow. Workflow is the field that actually runs a machine, so this is the one that matters to a rack which classifies its own members: a site-wide default would start running on a tray before anything knows what the tray is. drpcli ... ipmi/discover/workflow '' sends null.
