Remove DRPY¶

Important Notes¶

This content is specifically targeted at v4.6 and v4.7 It will work with newer versions from a content point of view but the context itself has drpcli and the entry point in it vs being bind mounted as is the case for 4.8 and newer.

The machine will not be in "complete" but will instead be stuck in a stage called completed-drpy-removal This happens because there is no agent or context anymore that can run jobs on behalf of the machine to move it to the official "Complete"

Installing¶

To install this content it will be important that you download the container image from the Amazon S3 bucket first.

Next you must upload this container image to EVERY DRP ENDPOINT where you plan to use the drpy removal content.

drpcli files upload drpy-removal-runner_v0.0.1.tar.gz as contexts/docker-context/drpy-removal-runner_v0.0.1

Next you need to install the drpy-removal content by selecting the catalog item and installing it.

Next you will need to update your customer specific content which includes the drpy-removal stages as part of the customer specific esxi-install process.
