openshift/install-method¶

Describes how an OpenShift node was installed

This parameter is automatically added as a mark for how nodes were installed as part of the OpenShift join-up process. It helps differentiate between nodes that were provisioned during the agent-based initial installation or later additions to the cluster.

Do not remove this parameter from nodes that are already installed and part of an existing cluster as those nodes will be re-installed the next time the cluster has nodes added.

Usage¶

Available roles:

agent # Installed during initial agent-based OpenShift installation.
ignition # Installed using ignition taken from the machine config after cluster is created.
