kernel-options-photon¶
Kernel arguments for Photon bootenvs, placed before --
Kernel arguments placed before -- in the boot command line for Photon bootenvs.
Defaults to expanding kernel-console-photon so console= lands in the
pre--- (kernel) slot, where the kernel actually parses it for serial /
VGA console configuration. The post--- slot (init-options-photon) is
for init args only and stays empty by default — putting console= there
doesn't configure the kernel console and risks the duplicate-console=
crash if it ends up on both sides of --.
To change only console settings, set kernel-console-photon. To add
extra kernel args (e.g. acpi=off), set this param directly and include
your console string explicitly.
