Tracks the current operational state of backup system verification operations. This parameter is automatically updated by verification tasks to provide real-time status information for verification-specific operations.

Possible states: - "validating-archives": Validating backup archive integrity and checksums - "testing-extraction": Testing backup archive extraction process - "validating-backup": Validating that the backup is complete and
- "completed": All verification checks passed successfully - "failed": One or more verification checks failed
