Billing

This plugin is used to generate account data for monthly billing. When submitting reports, the system will automtically check and regenerate licenses based on the current license. A current license MUST be installed to submit reports and update licenses.

THIS MODULE ASSUMES ENDPOINT HAS ACCESS TO THE INTERNET!!

Usage Report

The Usage Report tracks machine activity on several meterics. In the report, you can see data accumulated for the current cycle and past cycles. This method allows operators to monitor their current usage.

Usage reports are recovered from an endpoint using the billing action: drpcli system runaction billing-report.

Submit Report and Updated License

The Submit Report uploads the last 100 activity items to RackN for tracking. It also checks the endpoint license against the RackN database. It will automatically regenerate a license if the current license has expired or been updated.

Usage reports are submitted to RackN from an endpoint using the billing action: drpcli system runaction billing-submit

The action both update and returns the license content.

This action requires the endpoint to be able to reach the Internet.
