triggers¶

The triggers plugin lets external services start Digital Rebar work. It provides trigger providers for webhook-style services such as GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Prometheus, Jira, PagerDuty, and a generic JSON webhook. A trigger created from one of these providers matches incoming requests against the params you set on it, and fires only when they match.

How it works¶

Each trigger provider is also an action on the system model. The action takes the incoming request as the trigger/input param, and the provider's own params filter it, for example a branch pattern, an alert name pattern, or a severity threshold. A provider's params are optional filters unless the table below lists them as required.

The secret params are secure params.

Providers with no filters¶

epsagon-trigger-alert_webhook, zendesk-trigger-webhook, and okta-trigger-verify take no params. The Okta verify provider answers the verification challenge Okta sends when an event hook is registered.
